Hi Paul,=3D20

As I understand it, the G7's transmitter is built into the sensor. So = =3D each time you change out a sensor you get a new transmitter and that is = =3D probably what needs to pair up with the phone. I may have this wrong =3D since I am still using the G6 system, but thinking I will soon look to = =3D upgrade to the G7 like you have. I appreciate this discussion on how the = =3D
G7 sensors and transmitters are used with an iphone. I'm open to as much = =3D information as can be offered.=3D20

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Seeking advice re changing from the G6 to G7 = =3D soon

Hi all,

In a couple of weeks I will be changing to the G7. I have read the =3D Dexcom
G7 User Guide and their G7 Start here Guide, but both presume I can see = =3D the diagrams, or videos on their site, so I have some questions I hope = =3D someone may be able to help with?

1. What is the G7's equivalent to peeling off the wax papers from the = =3D adhesive patch on the G6?

2. Both guides talk about keeping the applicator to access the pairing = =3D code.
I don't understand this at all, as I have never had a bluetooth device = =3D that required a code to enable pairing. I had expected that using the = =3D applicator would itself initiate the pairing process. What am I =3D missing?

3. From the guides, I gather that there is something to hold in while = =3D you press the release button . Is that right?

4. Perhaps I'm just a little fumble fingered, but when applying the G6, = =3D I use one hand to aim where the sensor is to go, and the other hand to = =3D hold and apply it. I'm thinking about how I will put it on the back of = =3D my arm, and how much thinner my skin is there, rather than on my =3D abdomon. How have others gone with this location? =3D20

I will appreciate any advice people can provide. =3D20

Many thanks,
Paul in Australia.
