Veronica, I did play with the app, the app was accessible on android. What could be accessible on android may not be accessible on I O S and vise versa. When added up all the cost it was not going to be worth it in the long run. My endo was trying to make life a bit easier with insulin pumps and doing all the hard core heavy calculation lifting . the advantage of the I let pump , was that you could enter in your weight , the amount of the meal whether it was breakfast, lunch , dinner , or snack, then give it the amount or size and it would doo all the heavy lifting of carb ratios carb counting and adding or subtraction of insulin , and all that messy stuff, that I sometime get and don’t get right . that was the only reason, we decided to take a look at the I let pump from beta bionics.

Gary, I have not seen the smart phone app because when it first came out, everything was buried deep in menus in the pump and definitely not accessible. I know some people who used it but didn't stay with it because of how it behaved. Here's an example. She kind of figured out how to enter the basics and her meals were pretty much all the same size. Then on a week end, she attended a kids' birthday party. So, as you can guess, what she ate was really different. All during the next week, this pump was blousing based on how she ate over the week end. She was crashing so badly all week that she abandoned the pump. I've heard that some people have better luck if they don't tell it anything about meals.
I haven't known of a blind person using this pump. Did your endo give any specific reason for wanting you to use this pump? I'd be curious.
Veronica

isplay. I was recommended this pump by my endo today. I don't have
that much knowledge about this one.looks that there is not tha much you have to do enter your weight and what kinds of meals your having through the day and the rest is done through the algrythm of the pump.there is an app that can be used on a smart phone. So I will be getting more info from their rep next week. Figured I would ask if anyone had any knowledge about
this pump or experience with it . before I met with the educator next
week.
