Instead of using alcohol wipes try using  Isopropyl <https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/isopropyl-alcohol-vs-rubbing-alcohol>
alcohol
on a cotton swab.
or, slice off a piece of real butter from a stick of butter and rub it into the adhesive until the butter is all melted. Clean with a cloth that has water and dawn dish soap. I use butter to remove silicon sealant, caulking, glue, roofing tar, and much more.
