I know mine went to the insurance company as did all of my friends' letters who needed them.

I think the letter may actually need to go directly to the insurance company and be submitted like a prior authorization to get the job done as opposed to just having the letter included with the prescription that would go to the pharmacy or the DME supplier. Perhaps those people on the list who have had luck doing this can clarify where they had a letter sent. Once Larry returns he may be able to clarify this as I know he had to work on it for quite some time to get his sensors.
Patricia.

I do know Tim and he is a very capable attorney, however even I have not had contact with him in a long time. I do think that people on this list will reach out and assist you. So far I have seen two emails, and you just wrote. I know it seems hard to be patient, but none of these issues get solved immediately. Take all suggestions and sort through and figure out which ones will work.

>>> Lino, so much of being able to get this device has to do with how your doctor wrote the letter to justify your being on the CGM. Metformen 4 times a day would make me a crazy person, but here's the thing: What are your A1C levels? Are you completely unable to do finger sticks, or has it just been hard to learn? Would your sugar levels justify a CGM. Because if all of these things are true, there are people who can advise you and your doctor as to how to write the letter to get a device.

>>> Hello all. Lino here. Maybe some of you know who I already am. Anyway I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago in 2024. I tryed the finger stick method, but no cigar. So for the past 3 months I've been fighting with North Carolina Medicaid to get the Freestyle Libre 3. Well I was denied because I'm not on insulin. I'm on Metformen 4 times a day and take Jardins for lunch. I don't understand why our screwed up Government ensurence has to be this way. I care about my health and I want to know like the rest of you what my levels are. So if their are any lawyers or other who can help I wold be so greatful. I contacted the Prez of ACB Diabetics, but have not heard back from Mr. Gasman. Thanks to all.
