Mary,

Could you site the link for the national web site or else the actual talking
points?

Also, if the demonstration is to have any impact on the upcoming election,
it will need to be before the state convention given that the date of the
convention is only a couple days prior to the election.

Do we have the go-ahead to write to Paul Pate? I found some good talking
points on the national website in a Toolkit for use in advocating for voting
accessibility.

I sent in our absentee ballot requests today, since we've both voted
absentee for as long as we've been in Des Moines.

Here's the address:

Paul D. Pate, Jr., Iowa Secretary of State

1007 East Grand Ave.

Room 105, State Capitol

Des Moines, Iowa 50319

I would recommend an old-fashioned, printed letter in an envelope rather
than an email because such a letter reflects the importance of the matter to
the writer and the desire to convey the message.

Is there any further word on a demonstration and the State Convention?

Thanks!

Mary L. McGee3
