Good questions Mary. We will compile a list of ideas and then reach out to people wanting to lead or facilitate each group. I think rotating facilitators would even be something to consider. This gives us as a group the chance to hear from several voices, and it also gives others a chance to lead. As far as hearing about faking or feeling like you don't fit into either world at times, that's something I've heard from many people, and I'm sure lots of people on this list have heard the same or felt that way also. Be safe going back to work, and thanks for your input.
Best,

Live the life you want.

The National Federation of the Blind of Iowa is a community of members and friends who believe in the hopes and dreams of the nation’s blind. Every day we work together to help blind people live the lives they want.

They don’t have much of a dress code, but I’ve been wearing the same few things since I’ve been home that I need a lively change! I even located all the winter things and the boots, so maybe it won’t snow this year!

I guess we’ll have to do that, since a lot of work during the days. I can write, but probably not well enough to be in a group. But I’ll join Bible study and life hacks for sure!
> Could we also have a discussion group about issues we have being blind? I don’t know if anyone else who has some vision has had this happen or not, but I have, and it’s something I’d like to talk about someday, either in a Chapter meeting or as a discussion group. I’ve had people tell me I’m faking blindness when I carry a cane and, when I don’t, people think I’m sighted. I feel I don’t fit with the blind world or the sighted world—I’m just on the edge of both groups, but not really “belonging”. Has anyone ever felt this way? Can we talk about it sometime?
