Subject: [DSM-Iowa] Donations for state door prizes

Good evening federation family,
Saturday after our chapter meeting I sent an email explaining 
that as a chapter we donated 2 door prizes valued at $50 each for 
state convention last year.  I proposed we consider doing the 
same this year.  I also acknowledge the fact that I should have 
brought this matter up during the meeting.  I asked members for 
feedback before I polled the chapter board to get approval as the 
board makes decisions for the chapter between meetings.  I 
received positive feedback from several members, and nobody 
voiced opposition to this idea.  In electronic communication with 
the board, Don Shepherd made a motion which was seconded by 
Sharonda Goode.  The board voted unanimously to donate 2 $50 door 
prizes for state convention.  As I stated previously, I should 
have mentioned this during the meeting, and I appreciate those 
who responded with feedback regarding this matter.  I have asked 
Dave as our treasurer to transfer the funds to the state for the 
door prizes.
Reminders: contact Chelsea Page with any door prizes as we are 
always looking for more.  Also, tomorrow October 16, 2020 is the 
last day to register for state convention.  You must be 
registered for state convention to be eligible to win door prizes 
and to vote during convention.
