Mike,
I'm glad you got my email out. Just to make a simple correction,
the tenBroek speech is, "WITHIN" The Trace of God.

The following message was sent to me by the esteemed Jim Omvig.
Very good food for thought. The speech "By The Grace of God" is
a must read. If you've read it before, check it out again. We
have had some very good feedback as far as groups go. I'll send
out more regarding this later this week.
Respectfully,

Subject: Federation History and Philosophy!
?Dear Mr. President:
Please forward this message on to all of our Des Moines Chapter
members concerning projects and activities in which we might
engage! I think many of the suggestions have been very good
ones, but I believe we should also set up a project on Federation
History and Philosophy! I have just finished reading the October
BRAILLE MONITOR, and I am moved!
First, though, Mary McGee, it's great to have you back among the
active participants! KEEP ON KEEK'N ON!!!
Now, to all Chapter members, the first thing you should do
concerning NFB History and Philosophy is to read the October
BRAILLE MONITOR, at least a couple of times. Many of you have
probably never had the opportunity to read a speech written and
delivered by our founder, Dr. Jacobus tenBroek. Well, in
October you will find one of his most fabulous ones: WITHIN THE
GRACE OF GOD! Please read and study it!
In fact, Mr. President, assuming we set up this study group,
it's very first meeting should be to discuss this speech! Then,
in later sessions, we can dig deeper into other and newer NFB
philosophy. So please pass on this idea to all Chapter members.
Incidentally, I know that October and MEET THE BLIND MONTH are
passing swiftly. Do we have any activities planned to educate
the sighted public about we blind people?
Respectfully,
Jim Omvig
