[DSM-Iowa] Chapter news and updates

Good morning Federation Family, 
I hope this message finds you all doing well on this Convention eve. 
I have 3 quick things to report to the group. First, Mr. Barber is hanging in there. He still definitely needs prayers and well wishes. He's supposed to be in rehab for a couple of weeks. He posted yesterday that his oxygen levels were low, so please remember him in your thoughts and prayers. We're pulling for you, and we love you Michael Barber. 
Second, Mr. Omvig started a discussion last week about the October Braille monitor. We have received several audio copies of the monitor for those that would like to hear it. This would allow you to hear Dr. Tenbroke deliver the speech that we referred to in his own words. If you are interested in receiving one of these thumb drives, please call or text me at 615-554-0695 or you can email me at mharvey at nfbi.org and I will get one out to you. 
Finally, we have discussed hosting group discussions as a chapter through zoom. Most popular so far were a bible study, a prilosophy group and a "how to" group. I'm looking for volunteers to host these discussions. You can volunteer to be coordinator for these groups or just host one. As coordinator, you do Not have to lead every session, you can delegate that to a willing participant, or invite guests from outside of our chapter to come share. It would be ideal if all of these groups allow for input from anyone attending. If you are interested in helping with any of these groups, please reach out to me privately using my phone number or email listed above. Both are also listed in my signature. I'm thinking these will work best in the evenings to allow more people an opportunity to join, and we're going to steer clear of Thursdays for now. Any questions, please reach out.
