Good Evening Federation Family:
I've got lots of information in here about Washington Seminar including
trainings that people will want to attend. I've heard from some of you
already about participating in various meetings, but if people are still
interested, please get in touch with me as soon as possible so that we can
incorporate that into our scheduling plans! Now for fact sheets and more!
The fact sheets for this year's Washington Seminar issues (Access Technology
Affordability Act
<https://www.nfb.org/programs-services/advocacy/washington-seminar/washingto
n-seminar-agenda/fact-sheet-access> , Medical Devices Nonvisual
Accessibility Act
<https://www.nfb.org/programs-services/advocacy/washington-seminar/washingto
n-seminar-agenda/fact-sheet-medical-device> , Accessible Websites Act
<https://www.nfb.org/programs-services/advocacy/washington-seminar/washingto
n-seminar-agenda/fact-sheet-accessible-websites-act> , Accessible Voting Act
<https://www.nfb.org/programs-services/advocacy/washington-seminar/washingto
n-seminar-agenda/fact-sheet-accessible> ) are now posted to the national
website. Please take a look at them and feel free to save copies as needed!
Below is the current training schedule for the rest of the month. People who
would like to present at our meetings should attend either the meeting on
January 14, or January 19. You do not need to attend both of them! Below is
the full schedule of meetings that people can attend. Legislative directors
have a couple more, but I don't see a need to post those here.
Thursday, January 14, 8:00 p.m. eastern - General issue review and questions
- open to all meeting presenters
Tuesday, January 19, 8:00 p.m. eastern - General issue review and questions
- open to all meeting presenters
Thursday, January 21, 8:00 p.m. eastern - Final issue review and mock
meeting
The Zoom link for all meetings is https://zoom.us/j/7567531013.
You can also call 312-626-6799 and the ID is 7567531013.
Note that members are encouraged to attend only one of the two general issue
review and question meetings. In addition, it would be helpful if you have
studied the fact sheets before attending one of the meetings
In addition, we hope to have at least one or two meetings strictly for Iowa
for issue review and meeting preparation. Details for those will be sent
separately.
I'm looking forward to a great Washington Seminar, and I hope you are too!
