Des Moines Chapter Board Meeting 6/12/2021

The meeting was called to order at 11:02.

There was a discussion regarding funds from Michael Barber's Memorial. A member is giving $20 each month for hospitality.

Pizza will be purchased for Il integration studends on June 22. We will meet with participants from 5:00-7:00. 3 elevator speeches about "Why I am a Federationist," will be presented.

A student welcome packet is being created with samples of hygiene products and a few Federation speeches plus a few brief introductions from the Chapter. Are there bags from the National office with the NFB logo to hold the student welcome packets?

In-person Chapter meetings will be delayed due to delayed construction on the ramp.

It is suggested that the Des Moines Chapter meeting be tabled for July due to National Convention.

It is suggested a Bingo game occur over Zoom.

Game night is being explored. Ask management for recomendations.

Catering is suggested for the Christmas Party on December 11 at noon. Terri Wilcox moved to have students receive their meal free for the Christmas Party. Cindy Ray seconded the motion. The motion carried.
