STATE FAIR PARADE - WEDNESDAY AUGUST 9, 2023
TIME: We can not arrive before 5:00
LOCATION: Our staging lot is #7. The lot is located at Finkbine and Court. The parking lot is on the south side of the street.
PARADE I.D. NUMBER: Our staging number is 52, if you need to ask for directions you will need to remember the staging number  52 and lot number 7.
PARADE START TIME: The parade will start at 6:15
PARADE ROUTE: The route will go  west down Grand from the Capitol to 13th street.
There will be parade official at the staging location to help direct you to where you need to go. My number is 515-981-8397.

The weather is expected to be nice, please wear comfortable shoes. If you have never participated inn a parade before, the walking pace is moderate to slow, with brief periods where we will be stopped.
Parade participants are not permitted to throw candy or hand out flyers.

Good morning Connie, my name is Becky Young, and I am the president of the NFB, chapter of Des Moines. The email came across our Des Moines chapter list pertaining to participating in the parade for the state fair. It says that it is for students, past and present, staff, and family as well as clients. Ar Are others allowed to join in? If so, please sign me up. And I will if it is OK with you amend the email that went across our list to let other NFB members know that they are welcome to participate. I had thought about something like this at the Independence Day parade, and wished I had thought of it sooner. Thanks so much for your time.
