[DSM-Iowa] Activity and fundraising committee

This sounds like a good idea.  We'd have to get a permit to use the streets, but we could do it on the sidewalks.  I'd do it; I used to walk in the Hunger Hike with our church years ago.  I'll try to review my fundraiser plans and see what I can find.  So far:  How far?  From where to where?  What Date?  What time?  How many people to participate?  Will we advertise it or publish it by word of mouth?  How large a group is our goal?  What is our financial goal?  These are the questions to answer first.

Good evening, members, as I said, at our meeting on Saturday, this has been a busy month. I have something in mind that I think would be awesome to do, and would also be something for the fundraising committee to have a good start on. Teresa says that she is willing but she needs some volunteers. She has one, Mary Mcgee said she would help. Come on members we need some help. Please! I think it would be awesome if we could have a walkathon. You could walk, or run. We would get sponsors, and the money that we raised could possibly go to the affiliate to help get people to the national convention. Maybe even help get people to the state convention. But if that’s what it’s going to be for, we need to move fast. Teresa said she is willing to work on it if people are interested. I myself think this would be fantastic. A good way to make ourselves known in this  city. And it actually is very important right now with what is going on pertaining to ID be.  I wouldn’t mind doing several of these. Including one that we did of our own. Come on guys what do you think? Let’s get excited! Let’s find an activity and all do it together. remember! Together with love, hope, and determination we transform our dreams in to reality.
