[DSM-Iowa] Reminders

Dear Becky,

              I had a bit of a mini-vacation last week, but I had a wonderful birthday!  

              Yes, I’ll have the forms done by COB tomorrow, but I want to ask you if I should print them or send them  out on the Tall-Corn List so people can get a start at it and those from other chapters who may want to participate can do so.  There will be two very short forms, one for each challenge, and I think people will like this idea.  

              I have sufficient photos from our chapters; now I need photos from the other chapters around the state, since we have to make this an Affiliate project.  So far, no one from out of Des Moines Has sent any.  I can talk about this at the meeting, if you wish, or Scott can talk about it.  Dave sent me a sample brochure and I have plenty of info from National to compose one—I just need a few more pictures from which to choose.  

              I thought Cindy was out of town, but it doesn’t seem like it.  Anyway, is the next Fundraising Committee meeting the 12th?  

              I’ll be there Mon.; can we get into the building at 4:45?  I learned business hours are returning and we’ll be able to get in on weekday afternoons till 4:30 pm, but I don’t know about times later than that.

Good morning members,

Remember that we are hosting I. L. integration on Monday, June 5th. This will be held in the assembly room, between 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. There will be a maximum of 4 students, and they will be arriving at around 5:30. Remember this was an RSVP event.

It’s hard to believe that it is already June.

Less then one month away, and we will be at convention!

I am excited about this, and I hope all of you are too!

I wanted to remind everyone of our next chapter meeting on Saturday June 10th at 2:00 P.M. in the assembly room. I will post the agenda shortly. 

Also, those of us who ate at the Royal Mile after our May meeting decided that we would be eating at Court Avenue Brewing Company, or also know as CABCO. All are welcome to come. Some of us will walk, and some will get a ride. I will be one of the one who will walk, so join us in an awesome walk.

I am looking forward to seeing you soon. 

Mary will be talking about kicking off our first fund raiser. Give it up or do it. Be ready to make your commitment and fill out your form. I will let Mary fill us in on all of the details. We have quite a few things going on this summer between now and October. It is going to be fantastic. Let’s keep our momentum going! 

Also remember that we are hosting an activity for LEAP on June 23rd, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. This will be at the apartments in Grandview. This is an RSVP event as well.
