Hello everyone,
Well, it won’t be much longer, and it will be time to go to National Convention. Even though Jeff and I are staying home this year, we are excited too. We are registered for the virtual part, and the form has been submitted for the zoom convention banquet party. As of right now, there are about 10 or 11 of us that are going to participate in the convention zoom banquet party. It is going to be held at our house. If anyone else would like to attend, please contact me off list. If you need help with transportation, arrangements can probably be made. We are going to have good food, and a lot of fun.
To night is the LEAP activity, at the L. Apartments in Grandview. Those of you who plan on attending, I am looking forward to seeing you there.
Another important item to remember, is that our give it up or do it challenge has started. It started the day of our last meeting, and runs through October on the day of our meeting. So far there are 9 people that have committed to doing the challenge. That isn’t many, considering that it’s not even half of our chapter.
I would like to see more participation. Remember if we work together, we can get things accomplished. This is a fund raiser, to help with Bell Academy, so it is important that we all do our part. I will be touching base from time to time, especially since we won’t be having a meeting in July due to the convention.
Also another important thing,
We don’t have anyone signed up to bring refreshments in September, Or October. The refreshments can be simple, no drinks, people can bring there own. If no one signs up, there will be no refreshments.
After the August meeting, we will be having an in door picnic. This is going to be a pot luck, so we would like people to bring items. Things like potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, potato chips, ETC. Also we will need some desert.
To sing up for refreshments, or items for the picnic, please contact Sharon Omvig at
Email skomvig at gmail.com or phone,5156573155
I hope to see more of us participating in our activities, and helping where you can. All of you are valued, and very much needed.
All of you stay safe, and have a blast at convention.
