I would like to let you know about several changes DART will make to our services beginning Sunday, August 25.Minor schedule changes <https://ridedart.com/august> will be made on these local routes to follow new bell times for some DMPS schools this year:  
·                     Local Route 8, Route 11, Route 13, Route 14, Route 15, Route 16  
DART will also make minor schedule changes to these express routes to better serve riders:  
·                     Express Route 92, Route 93, Route 94, Route 95, Route 98
Local Route 8 – Fleur Dr 
In addition to the schedule changes, DART will add service to Local Route 8 that travels along Fleur Drive. Starting Monday, August 26, a new weekday morning trip will travel outbound from DART Central Station to the south side of Des Moines. On weekday evenings, a new inbound trip will travel north from the south side of Des Moines to DART Central Station. The Airport South Park & Ride will be removed from the schedule because it is no longer an available DART Park & Ride location. 
  
DMPS School Service 
Also beginning Monday, August 26, DART will add school service <https://ridedart.com/routes/school> on some local routes in the morning and afternoon to help transport more than 3,500 DMPS students and staff to and from school during the academic year. The additional trips operate Monday through Friday on school days and are open to the public. Additionally, we have learned that there are some changes to DMPS Student badges this year, so we’ve updated our DMPS webpage <https://ridedart.com/des-moines-public-schools-partnership-dart> and partnership one-pager to reflect these changes.
 
Thanks to a Principal Foundation grant, allowing all students at North High School and Harding Middle School can ride DART for free again this school year. We are entering the third year of this pilot program, and we hope to evaluate how improved access to transportation impacts students’ success.
