Hello DART Riders, 

All new DART bus routes are coming this summer! Scroll down to read what's changing and what you need to know.

New Features

10 main routes will provide service more often, 7 days a week, along the busiest streets in the Des Moines metro. Bus routes will travel on many of the same streets as today.

Bus routes will be scheduled to meet at DART Central Station, making transferring easier and speeding up trips.

Some bus stops will move, so we can provide faster, more reliable service. Bus stops will be located about every 3 to 4 blocks on our new routes.

What you need to know:

Your bus route and schedule will change on Sunday, June 14, 2026.  

You can continue to ride your current bus routes and use your current bus stops through June 13. 

Our operating hours will change for all services, including Paratransit: 

Monday – Saturday, 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. 

Sunday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Paratransit service and DART On Demand service in Ankeny will continue. DART On Demand will change this fall.  

All Express Routes, Flex Connect, On Call services and the LINK shuttle in downtown Des Moines will end.
