These aren't questions we can't answer. Your download speed depends on
your connection type, and many other variables that we can't know about.
It also depends on size of book.
As to where download goes, that depends on your computer, where it puts
them -- I believe RFB&D uses some sort of download manager, so don't
know what that does to process either. If you know a file name, you can
search for it. If the standard save dialog comes up, you would normally
hit the save button. If you tab instead of hitting save, there are
controls to choose where the download is saved.

Hello. I use the victor reader stream to play books from
recording for the blind and dyslexic. approximately how long does it
take to download a book? where are the zipped files placed? Thank you.
