It's also possible there are tones on some titles that dont visually show up on the waveform if they were recorded underneath actual narration.
Whereas tones recorded in the silences between narration are much easier to pick.
If the former, playing the 22khz sample rate native file back at say 88khz or even higher
will probably audibly reveal within the first couple of minutes any subsonic tones there even if they are buried amongst the narration.
Being such a low, steady tone, they normally were quite distinguishable from the narration even when mixed in with it. But only
when played back at high speed.
