There is only one physical Stream. The other versions pair it with a CD-ROM reader, or a NLS cartridge holder as I recall. You get the same physical Stream. If you need no add-ons, just buy the basic Stream package.

And ... no, you don't initially contact Humanware about NLS or RFB&D keys. You initiate the process through NLS or RFB&D. With nls, you go to:

https://nlsbard.loc.gov

You start the process there, and must already be a NLS patron in good standing.

Subject: [Dtb-talk] Victor Reader stream purchase

Hi everybody,

I'm getting ready to purchase my Victor Reader Stream (really pumped about it.) I have a couple of quick questions before I do.

First, I noticed there are several types of Victors. The Stream is under the compact readers. Are the other Victors bigger or something?

My other question is when I purchase the Stream, do I ask for the key to be able to read NLS books or does it come with it? Do I need to do anything for RFB&D recordings?

Thanks.

Mike
