The Commonwealth Braille & Talking Book Cooperative would like to extend the offer of free membership in the cooperative to schools universities and other entities serving the blind and print disabled in the United States. 

While it is true that the Untied States is not a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. The Commonwealth Braille & Talking Book Cooperative provides for membership from "organisations from nations or states with an historic, cultural or linguistic tie to the Commonwealth. This would include locations such as the United States and it constituent states, territories or former territories (The Philippines for example) as well as nations such as Ireland and Zimbabwe."
