The American Printing House for the Blind and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in the United States provide, in audio, a collection of early reading titles for blind, dyslexic and other young disabled children. Unfortunately these resources to disabled children and their families are not accessible outside of the United States.

In order to address this unfortunate situation the Commonwealth Braille & Talking Book Cooperative has undertaken to collect and distribute the same titles in the standard international DAISY format that can be played on any DAISY or MP3 enabled device or software world wide. In addition the full text full audio versions of these titles contain a Unified English Braille Code (UEBC) Braille ready file that can be used to generate Braille versions of the titles as well.

We would like to thank cooperative member the Kansas Audio Reader and the University of Kansas for their help in producing these titles.

These works can be accessed by cooperative members and by patrons of the Association for the Blind of Western Australia at the following URL: http://www.cbtbc.org/erc/ they are also included in the standard ABWA library collection.

Note: As these books are protected by copyright, access is restricted to those persons and agencies which have usernames and passwords issued by Association for the Blind of Western Australia library services. For more information please contact us atinfo at cbtbc.org
