Hi everybody,

I was thinking about donating books to bookshare so they can be scanned and put onto the site.  I read on the site that they don't accept donations; however, you can request a book be scanned if you send it to them--as long as you don't mind them keeping it.

I may have misread; but, it said only for educational purposes.  If that's the case, I wonder how the latest Grisham, Baldacci, or bestseller is for educational purposes?  

Anyway, I've got several books I'd like to have put up there.  How do I go about getting the books to bookshare?  Is there any other service similar to bookshare that'll put books into alternate formats (e.g., braille, Daisy)?  I'm looking to downsize my print book collection and share it with someone who can use some of them.
