[DTB-Talk] [NLS Network] More clarity on Bolton and Mary Trump books

Regrettably, this Whitehouse has politicized processes that have never been politicized before. I am not surprised at the skepticism--cynicism one might say. Institutions that should have been trustworthy appear to be running under political considerations. Questions should be asked. We need better answers. The explanation in both emails was bureaucratic. Perhaps someone versed in NLS' internal processes can provide a better understanding--an interpretation of the explanation.

I find it sad indeed concerning the lack of trust and skepticism on all sides. NLS has never given us any reason not to trust them. Do you really think the White House is aware, or cares about what books go to blind people. And ... if it is a technical problem, don't you think it would impact more than one book. We do not know if other books have been withdrawn.
Finally, I read the Mary Trump book, and did not notice any major discontinuity, so if there are missing pieces, I don't think it is much.

I have to say that it strike me as almost unbelievable that the same technical issue would appear in two books at the same time and both books were dealing with the current administration in a critical fashion and both book were subject of legal attempts to quash their publication by the administration. I mean what are the odds of that?
I think we will need more information here.

> Due to a technical issue with the transfer of a group of audiobook files during the production process, NLS has identified deleted passages in two bestsellers recently added to BARD: “Too Much and Never Enough (DB99251)” by Mary Trump, and “The Room Where It Happened (DB99187),” by John Bolton. These titles have been removed from BARD temporarily. We are working diligently to identify and rectify problems with all affected books and will return titles to BARD as soon as the fixes are complete.
