Hi again Kate,
The NV2 , the phone you were mentioning is the most accessible LG phone to
date since one can text message with it! Otherwise, it is as accessible as
the newer LG phones as the VX5400, vx5500, VX8350 etc.
One cannot text message independently with these three phones, only the NV2
has speech available for text messaging. All of these phones have their own
speech system out of the box. They don't work with Mobile Speak! The ones
which do work with Mobile speak include
Motorola Q9c,
Smt 5800 by HTC,
the Pantech PN820 I believe. Those are the only Verizon phones which work
with Mobile Speak as Smart Phones. There are a couple of PDA phones but
don't have numbers on them presently! I'm looking into getting a phone
which utilizes Mobile Speak since one can read more of the menus than the LG
phones. Mobile Speak itself is $299 on top of the price of the phone. One
can get the Motorola Q9C phone for $29 with two year contract last I
checked! Some are saying new phones will be available this coming year!
We'll see!
HTH

I don't know that I could afford it at the moment, but do these phones work
with the mobile screen readers or not?
