Two things:
You might want to retrain the commands to your voice.
Also, if you pres the "please say a command" button, you can arrow up to
where it says something about the name.
You can then say "Create new."

Subject: Re: [Electronics-talk] [Electronics-talk inputting contacts with
LGenV2
One other question I have after struggling to enter a contact this morning
is how to use the "say command" button and then the number 52 to enter
contacts. It was really giving me the run around, sometimes telling me my
valid info was invalid... cutting me off prematurely before I could even
blurt out a whole phone number... mind you, i was speaking quickly without
pauses. Also, sometimes the phone was just acting as though it was going
into sleep mode while I was trying to speak... again, I was not pausing, I
was speaking without pause. I would say what I wanted to enter and it would
act dead until I pressed the call or ok buttons and then it would prompt me
with the same prompt over again. I did this over and over again and I
haven't successfully entered a contact. The only success I had was this
contact entry that is a phone number but no name. It won't even let me erase
this because when I go to say command and press 53 to delete the contact, it
asks me to say the contact name. I say the number that's now showing up on
my contact list and it says my input is invalid and it will not delete it
now. GRRRRRRR. Please let me know if you have any solutions to any of these
issues or whether I need to just go get sighted assistance. By the way, i
should say that I can enter contacts through the contact menu and doing it
manual rather than by voice command. It's just hard to punch in a number
quickly enough and know how many times to press the button in order to get
the correct letter. I end up having to try the entry at least 7 seven times
if not more than that on longer names. This is my first cell phone, so
perhaps that will be something that comes more quickly over time. Anyway,
thanks for the help so far, it's been helpful to speak with you. I need a
little more guidance and then hopefully I'll have most of the features on
this phone figured out. Thanks again.
Kate
