Hi,

I've been working on getting a visual display for my daughter's Braillenote,
so her sighted teacher can see what she's doing. There are a couple ways to
do it.

If you want to connect the Braillnote directly to a monitor (not to a full
computer), you need a special adapter that fits into the compact flash card
slot. The particular adapter is called a "Voyager VGA Adapter for Compact
Flash", manufactured by Colorgraphics. Unfortunately this item was
discontinued more than 5 years and there is no alternative available. I
have looked all over the internet and not been able to find one, and
therefore have moved on to the second option that requires a computer (not
just a monitor). But if anyone has one of these Voyager VGA cards I'd be
happy to buy it!

To connect the Braillenote to a computer, you connect from the Braillnote's
serial port (or Bluetooth, but this has not worked well for me), and load a
free application called KeyView onto the computer. Then everything that's
done on the Braillenote is displayed on the computer. There is no special
card or adapter needed for this. Its pretty easy (if you use the serial port
option -- Bluetooth was not easy for me!).

Good luck,
Doug
