Because some older folks want a more "human-sounding" voice and aren't 
as savvy as experienced blind Newsline® users are; we crank the speech 
up to warp speed whereas I suspect that many senior citizens who are 
relatively new to blindness do not. Rest assured that Eloquence isn't 
going away.

I have sampled the "new" voices on Newsline, and I'm not very impressed. 
At
the fast speed, the voices are incomprehensible.  The default Nuance 
voice
is still the best and probably always will be.  Why can't they just 
leave
well enough alone?
