[Electronics-talk] sorry for the cross post...

Hi Ken here. On the pandora front, there is an HTML version. I can't
test it completely because of dial up and so I don't know how well it actually
works, but try _www.pandora.com/backstage_
(http://www.pandora.com/backstage) . If that doesn't work as well as they think, Last.fm works great. I
successfully created a station using the back stage feature of Pandora.
The funny part is the Iphone ap works better for an Iphone or Mac user that is
 blind because it was designed for an operating system with a screen reader
built in so they put that together from scratch. What about the rest of
my  question concerning Wifi radios?

I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the national federation
of the blind to  achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind;
to support the policies and programs of the federation; and abide by it's
constitution.

Vince,
What is the name of the product that the co worker has that allows him to
dictate a message  or email?

I understand the difference between voice recognition and text-to-speech.
My co-worker says if he wants to send a text message to a person, he just
speaks it, which then sends it in text form to the recipient. That's why
I
thought the term was speech-to-text, not text-to-speech--which is what his
phone does when he receives a text message.
However, I assume since he's using a phone that has Talks on it, that
allows

his phone to act as a screen-reader.

Hi list members Ken here. sorry for cross posting, but have a question.
Someone on the Window-eyes list posted an item about Wifi radios and the
accessibility issue and mentioned one. I was wondering exactly how they
work
and how someone for examples uses one to get to a live 365 or Pandora or
Last FM account? I might put that on as a last minute gift for the fat
guy
in the red suit Huh? Ken.

I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the national
federation
of the blind to achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the
blind;
to support the policies and programs of the federation; and abide by it's

constitution.
