I still have my old AFB Braille scale from about 25 yearsago, and you'll
have to pry it out of my cold dead fingers.

Perhaps Sherri should have asked about a more consistent scale, instead
of
an accurate scale. Gerald is correct. They are all off. Even the ones
used in hospitals.
I think the only ones that were accurate were the ones that used the
weight
on the bar.

I don't think any of these talking scales is particularly accurate. The
one
I have was described as "accurate" in the Independent Living Aids
catalog,
but its readings tend to be about 5 pounds overweight compared to the
readings on the scale in my doctor's office. And it speaks the weight
readings with a Chinese accent which is sometimes difficult to
understand.
So you pays your money and you takes your chances.

Sherri:
I have the same problem--and probably the same scale. I remedy the
problem
by going with whichever number is duplicated. Saves money in the end.

Could someone recommend an accurate talking scale? When I weigh myself,
I
can stand on the scale three times and all three times get quite a wide
range of weights. I'm not even sure which model of scale I have, but it
has
a female talking voice and I am really looking for a more accurate
scale.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
