[Electronics-talk] turning on SAP

At present, there is no government mandate regarding descriptive video
on TV. However, some networks volunterily include video description on
some programs. There are breaks in the chain however. Some local TV
stations do not pass on the description. And, if they do, some cable
and satellite providers do not pass it on, so sometimes some detective
work is required in order to track down where the break is occuring.

It's kind of pointless that the FCC require a certain amount of
described programs if the providers are not providing access to it.

this may not be so.
Comcast does not know what sap is ...
i have tried to turn it on and several of there customer service phone
people have no idea what i am talking about....

in some reading that i have done, the articles suggest that sap or
described
programs are not supported on deal tv. even the public broadcast sap
is
not accessible via cable .... based on my attempts.

if someone can work their way thru cable provides and sap... i would
love
to know the magic.
