Dear Electronics-talk Listserv members,
We need your help.
Our organization, the Wireless Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center,
has just launched a new survey on accessible software applications for the
Apple iPhone. And, we need people of all abilities to take the survey.
As the iPhone has become ever more popular, so have the tools, games and programs that run on the iPhone. There are reportedly over 10,000 software
programs available on the iPhone AppStore online. So, we want to know if any of these applications have helped iPhone users with disabilities to
perform either of the following:
1. use the iPhone with greater facility (like a voice recognition program to input addresses for map searches), or
2. perform some other task that helps users overcome their particular disability (like remembering things, finding accessible facilities while
traveling, etc.)
Please take a minute to answer our 8-question survey: http://cansurvey.wirelessrerc.org/iphonesurvey/iphonesurvey.htm#QregUse_1
Your responses could help others learn how to use wireless technologies to
improve their lives, and it could help us educate the wireless industry on
the types of software applications that offer accessibility. We will report
our findings on the electronics-talk listserv when we compile the data.
Thanks,
--John
