This policy went into effect 11/08 for all smart phones.

If you bought a Motorola Q or Palm Centro or other Palm device since 
then the policy does not apply or if you purchased anything other then a 
Blackberry as well.

I spoke to Verizon yesterday and the Poto Q is gone and the Palm Centro 
is being discontinued leaving no options.

By tyhe way it is not an on line service but their data plan.
