I use cash very infrequently also.  Even the snack bar at work will accept
my card.  I use cash at the Farmers Market.  I try to carry very little
cash.

I find myself needing cash less and less. The only time I use cash is for 
small purchases or vending machines where it doesn't make sense to pull out 
a card. Even so, most of the new vending machines including the ones at my 
college have a credit card slot. I guess they don't want you to passup a 
soda because you don't have the cash.
