[Electronics-talk] keeping track of bags while traveling

Hi,
Good idea. If you're going to pay for having your bags schlepped cross
country it makes sense. There was a talk radio host out here in L.A. who
absolutely refused to check any kind of baggage on an airline, on the
assumption that it would be lost. He always Fedexed his stuff to wherever he
was going. This had to be several years ago that I heard this; I would
imagine that he saw the writing on the wall even back then, that careless
luggage handling would be the rule rather than the exception, and that
airlines would make you pay for the privelege of entrusting your bags to
them and losing them in the process. Oh yeah, and don't even think about the
luggage handlers who rifle through people's bags and make off with any
valuables.

Tom
