Go to AT&T or apple store and tell them you want to check out the accessibility of the i-phone. Ask a sales person to turn on Voice Over for you. If they dont know how, in the I-phone 3gs  you go to settings, General, Accessbility, Voice Over, and then turn it on. I dont know if thats the steps for turig it on on the new one that jsut came out yet or not.
