I had the Samsung gleam for a while and it read just enough to be maddening.
It seemed to read about one level deeper in the menus than the lg phones,
but just enough that I'd have to get sighted help to do a number of tasks.
Over all, the voice quality on my gleam was much better than the lg ENV,m
and it read text message both the body of the text, and who it was from,
this was a huge advantage for me over the ENV phones.

Okay. What's better about it than the LG line? Do all the levels of menus
talk? How about caller ID info? Will it announce the name and or number of
the calling party?
Very important as I'm thinking about this one for sure.
Thanks.

Hello Andy and list,
My wife and I got this phone Thursday! It certainly isn't perfect but much
better than the LG offerings from VZW.
