[Electronics-talk] Windows versus Mac [was "RE: Question about Talking Scale"]

JAWS isn't going to run on a Mac. A Mac runs its own OS and comes with its
own screen reader, Voice Over, so you wouldn't need JAWS.

I personally wouldn't worry about which OS more efficiently uses the system
resources, since for example, you can get more powerful hardware which will
run Windows for less than what you could get on a Mac. Instead, I'd look at
what you want to do, which system would be better suited for that and other
factors, such as ease of use.

I'd also suggest taking this discussion to a more appropriate list and using
more descriptive subject lines.

Hello Everyone
I'm considering switching over from xp to Mac, given the reason that I'm
finding out that Windows is to much of a resource hog, a friend have mention

that you don't have to wory about someone getting into ones personal
business. My friend who lives one level below me has mention this with me
and has been encountering some problems with the windowos system, even
though he doesn't use jaws. My question would jaws 10 or 11 work with Mac
desk top computers?
