If you have AT&T U-verse, SAP is available by pressing the info button on the remote then scroling right with three presses of the right arrow button then pressing down arrow followed by the okay button. If no SAP is there, the audio will not change. In such case, you need then to press the exit button.

Alternativly, you can access the menu structure and find SAP in the audio settings there. Now, it's true that the menus don't talk, but, if you ever get lost, you can press the exit key and then press menu again. this action will take you to the very top left of the menu structure so you can start again. Not all cable or TV providor boxes behave in this way, but, if you can get AT&T U-verse in your area, that is kind of what you can look forward too. Also, you can, (using the Mac at least) program the DVR via the web interphase with complete accessibility.

The SAP or Secondary Audio Program channel is normally used buy broadcasters to carry audio-described or DVS programming. Some analog TV's used to have a dedicated button on the remote to turn SAP on and off, but with digital TV's, you usually have to turn it on and off from one of the set's built-in on-screen menu. If you use a cable box, you usually have to turn SAP on or off from one of the box's on-screen menus.
