>From what I have been hearing as far back from 2007 that the cable companies
are suppose to go completely digital transmission by the year 2012 and that
the folks with their present cable boxes are suppose to surrender their old
boxes.
I myself whent via antenna over the air with most of the local channels that
I like having due to the outstanding sound quality, which is much better
then receiving a quam signal, which most cable providers are delivering
right now. Most of the stuff is all repeated material for the most part, and
I can receive most of the same programing from my local channels of which I
don't have to pay for saving me $59.95 per month. Then there is the fact
with over the air reception, when in a good area the television signal
originating from the local channels are more line of site, then coming
through a cable system with the quality being 95% quality.
