Hello,
I feel silly because I have been a jaws user since before it was jaws and I
don't think I ever really paid much attention to the fact that there are
discussion lists about it, so my question is: how do I join that list?
I'm always looking for ways to improve my use of jaws or little tips tricks
and shortcuts that I previously didn't already know.
Thanks
Johna Lynn

Just out of curiosity, this is the electronics-talk list, is it not? I
assumed that computers, and the software used by said electronic devices
would be approved for discussion. I'll admit that while subscribed to
this list I don't read it often, but when I was scrambling for ideas I
assumed this would be a good place to ask. If I was wrong, I apologize
for being off topic. Thanks again and I hope I didn't disrrupt things
too much.
Sincerely,
Byron Lee

Yes, this is the Electronics-Talks mailing list, although I assume your
question is just rhetorical.
Since you didn't include the message you're responding to, I'm not sure
exactly what you're referring to, but I'm curious if you read the
description of this list? Here it is:
This list is intended for the sharing of information about, and
discussion of the accessibility of various consumer electronics
devices. Sharing of information about, and discussion of MP3 players;
cell phones and other telephones; DVD players, receivers and other
stereo and video components; satellite and HD radios; and household
appliances including microwaves, washers, dryers, stoves, and the like;
is appropriate and encouraged. With more and more devices having
inaccessible controls or displays, a place to share information and
experiences is needed.
In short, it's about the disccussion of accessible electronic devices. I
don't think that Google Calendar fits in that description. I'm not the
moderator though, so I'll let you take it up with him. Even though I don't
subscribe to a list where this would be more on topic, I would think you'd
have a better chance of getting your question answered if you posted it to
such a list. I do subscribe to a list where issues surrounding the JAWS
screen reader are discussed, so if your question has to do with Google
Calendar and JAWS then you could post it there. I could fetch that list
information if you need it.
BTW, the web page with the description of the list is at:
