Michael,
I have seen the both.  The newer one is smaller and maybe a little easier to
carry to the store, although both are not tiny.
I also understand that the newer one has the better place for inventory, for
the business people I assume.

I think it is everything you need other than the size and price.  Hopefully
you can meet somebody that actually has one.  I bet the company would give
you the name of a satisfied customer.

I don't know your needs, ability and whether the one from digit eyes through
an iphone, would be enough.

I talked to Dale Campbell at Blind mice and he told me that the summit 
weighs about half that of the omni and has an inventory control feature 
built into the summit. But other than that the Omni and the Summit do pretty

much the same thing.  If I were going to spen the full price I would 
definitely go with the Summit but at half the price I don't know.
