The GPS navigation apps for the iPhone such as Navigon and Tom Tom have
a bicycle mode, and are accessible with speech.
Also, the Kapten GPS is a small self contained unit that was actually
developed in Europe for bicycle riders. It costs about $300, and
features both speech input capability as well as speech output.

Subject: [Electronics-talk] Is there a talking or Braille odometer
suitablefor a bicycle
Hi there,
My husband and I do a lot of tandem riding. he is sighted. The odometer
on our bike needs to be replaced. It is "sight dependent" and I am
wondering if there is an accessible model.
I am wondering if perhaps even an application for ipod touch/iphone that
could be recommended.
I am in Canada.
Thank-you for any suggestions.
Sharon
