[Electronics-talk] tv's

Only in your dreams. At present, there are no TV's or home theater
receivers that I know of with accessible onscreen menus. Even worse, some
of them now come with remotes that have touch screens instead of discrete
buttons, making them totally inaccessible. The manufacturers of these
devices figure that blind people don't watch TV anyway, so why make them
accessible? Thank goodness my 15-year-old Sony receiver with tactile knobs
and buttons still works like the day I bought it, but when it finally dies,
I shudder at the prospect of replacing it.
