Another way is to add the contact using shift 4 for the commas between the
account number and the pin. Also shift 9 is the pound sign, I think.

There are 2 things I do.
First I have those numbers included in my contacts so all I have to do
is push one button on the hide keypad screen to have the additional
digits put in for me. This is a little risky if your phone is stolen so
you can password protect or if it should happen notify your credit card
or bank.
Second use a headset which gives you better access to volume levels on
the keypad.
