When 70 percent of the blind population is unemployed and that statistic is probably a little higher.  It is rediculous to expect us to have the money to purchase quality adaptive equipment.  

the fact is, the things the state provides are not the highest of quality, and on fixed incomes, most blind people can't afford a seco, not to mention the kind of watches you're talking about.

I don't see anything wrong with living with your parents to save money, but for those of us who don't have that option and are barely surviving, it's a kick in the teeth when any accessable product, watch or not, isn't available to them in any kind of quality, unless you have a job.  Which I said before since 70 percent of us are unemployed, it's a kick in the teeth.
