There is an add-on for Mozilla Firefox called Webvisum that solves image 
captchas with the press of a keystroke and places the result on your 
clipboard, ready to be pasted into the appropriate edit field.  Many blind 
computer users like me use Firefox strictly for this purpose and use IE as 
our primary browser. I never bother with audio captchas because they almost 
never work, and use Webvisum, which works most of the time.
