Comcast offers digital converter boxes for old TV's that have a dedicated
button for SAP. These could be used with an anologue TV or an audio
receiver that receives the old fashioned TV signals. These converters only
receive the basic service from channel 2 to 99 and a few extras like the HD
local channels.

This is an interesting topic.
in the past, prior to the conversion to digital TV ... Descriptive audit
was available on the SAP (secondary audio program) option on your TV.
Since going to Digital, many Cable companies have kind of made this dis
appear.
I have a formal complaint in to the FCC that Comcast is not providing
Discriptive audito when it is available by the local TV stations.
the Comcast service and Help desk have no idea what discriptive audio is.
they tried to point at the TV manufacturer, then the TB station... so i
asked, IF the signal were availabler, how would i receive it via Comcast...
no one knew how... thus i have to conclude that it does not exist.
Due to my complaint to the FCC, i have an open issue with Comcast support
and they promised to get back to me.... but i am not holding much hope.
ON this topic, i would just love for someone to prove me wrong...
just tell me how to receive Discriptive audio using Comcast equipment.
