[Electronics-talk] Accessible Stove/oven

I think most stoves have knobs. But fully accessible stoves and ovens don't
exist anymore.
I went to sears and explored what stoves they had while we were looking for
other items.
All stoves now a days are flat tops. Gone are the days where you could feel
the coils.
That is what I was taught. Feel the cold coil to center the pot and then
turn your stove on; I learned this in the late 1990s when stoves with
burners were around.
Then when we needed a new stove, I could no longer feel the burners and to
use the stove I have to place my hand above the burner to feel the heat. Its
not as accurate and I struggle centering the pot.

As for ovens, the timers are not accessible even with braille labels on
buttons. you have to use a watch or other kitchen timer.
If anyone finds a more accessible electric oven or stove let me know.
Ashley

Subject: [Electronics-talk] Accessible Stove/oven

Hey folks,

Our cook top on our oven decided to crack in three directions tonight, and
I'm in the market for a new one. This one was inaccessible but came with the
house 11-years ago.

With a need to purchase, now is my opportunity to get an accessible one. I
am looking for any possible suggestions in the event anyone was in a
similar need recently.

Thanks in advance,

Brad
