Hi there,

I a sorry I do not know about kindle fire.

When I want to purchase books from the kindle store, I go to amazon.com using my web browser (or for me favourites)

From there I scroll down to search in. There will first be a selection and if you use first letter navigation and type k than kindle store will pop up in your look in field.

The very next field is your search field and there type in whatever you want.
Next will be the search or go feature and it will bring up results.

These all read just fine using Jaws on a PC and voice over on my Mac.

If you know the specific title you want you can just type in the title and the word kindle in your google search and it will likely come up as your first hit.

I have no problem reading options to buy or to get sample. When getting sample it is still labelled as a buy button so navigate through so you are familiar with the order. Full purchase is the first option and then later is the option to buy the sample. There is no charge though for buying the sample.

I have my account set for one button click to purchase andit will automatically use any gift cards if you have any or your credit card.

I can access my library of boks online no problem.

Reading of all book descriptions and the reviews are also accessible.

If you choose to click on the top releases or free kindle books or items like that, I ahve found them to be fully accessible using my computer.

Because of the limits of keyboard speech ont he kindle keyboard itself, I can't do as much directly from my kindle.

If someone had some vision I understand the magnification ability for letters is magnificent.

If one can check out one in a store and get one in your hands, or borrowone from someone, it starts to make more sense.

Take care.
Sharon

The text to speech has a regular voice speech rate (very very slow to my ears) and their increased speed is still rpetty slow. I'd love to be able to adjust the speech rate further but the kindle does allow me access to Amazon books that are text to speech enabled. This unfortunately does not apply to all books, so check before you purchase any text.

The homea nd back key are easy to use and the five way key that simulates an enter key in the middle of a box with the upper and lower edge lines of the box operating as up and down cursors and the left and right sides operating as left right cursors. The menu key just above the five way is also accessible as are the page up and down on either side.
